Diverging from traditional home extensions, this premium garden office is crafted using pre-cut, modular Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs). Renowned for superior insulation, energy efficiency and durability, SIPs are rapidly becoming the construction method of choice for many modern homes. Unlike competitors, the Xtend series features SIP construction not only for the walls but also for the roof and floor, resulting in a fully insulated garden office from top to bottom.

Each wall SIP comprises 97mm insulation enclosed between two OSB boards. Further insulation and finishing are provided by both outer and interior cladding. The interior cladding, primed and ready for painting, consists of MDF with a vertical beaded profile for an elegant aesthetic. On the outside, the high-quality 15mm kiln-dried tongue and groove timber cladding not only provides a stylish look but also ensures weather resistance. Combining SIPs, cladding, and cavities yields an impressive overall wall thickness of 177mm.
Floor and Roof
To boost insulation, the 108mm floor and 122mm pent-style roof also comprise SIPs. While the floor remains uncovered to allow customization with carpet, laminate, or other flooring options, the roof interior is lined with pre-primed cladding for painting. The roof exterior showcases a market-leading black EPDM weatherproof covering with an outstanding 50-year lifespan. This maintenance-free rubber roof is UV-stabilized, resistant to splitting, cracking, moss, or algae growth, and finished with anthracite grey facias for a modern touch.
Forest does not provide electrical installations. However, the 28mm wall battens and 45mm roof battens are designed to accommodate the installation of electrical wiring and recessed lighting by a qualified electrician.
Entryways and Windows
Access to this garden office is facilitated through double-glazed UPVC doors, secured by a 7-point multi-lock mechanism for enhanced security. Two full-length double-glazed windows allow natural light to flood the interior, with the top portions of both windows designed to open for ventilation. The doors and windows feature grain-effect grey outer and smooth white inner frames, combining aesthetics and durability.
