Shield Wood Dye & Guard is a durable moisture-repelling solution that is safe for plants and animals and safeguards all kinds of exterior timber from the elements and mildew. You can administer this item on terracotta and stonework or any porous material. Long-lasting – 2-5 years (depending on usage intensity & exposure levels) Offered in a range of shades. Area coverage: Approximately 8-12m² per application. Our suggestion is to apply 2 layers with a third one to enhance the color depth. If the primary product is not pressure treated, it is necessary to use a Wood Preserver before painting, and we advocate for Protek Wood Preserver ++. In cases of high weather exposure, it is advisable to use Protek Clear Tough Coat as an additional protective layer. For lighter hues, we propose using our Dye Blocking Primer to inhibit potential discolouration from tannin seepage.
