The Wood Stain & Shield is a durable water-resistant solution that is safe for plants and pets. It safeguards all varieties of outdoor wood from the elements and fungus. This item is suitable for use on terracotta and brickwork, as well as porous materials. Its longevity ranges from 2 to 5 years, depending on usage and exposure levels. It is offered in multiple shades and can cover approximately 8-12 square meters in one application. We advise applying two coats initially, with a third to enhance the color intensity. If the primary wood is not pressure treated, it is necessary to utilize a Wood Preserver before staining; we suggest the Protek Wood Preserver ++ for this purpose. In instances of extensive weather conditions, it is advisable to administer a layer of Protek Clear Tough Coat as an additional protection. To preserve the color integrity of lighter shades, it is recommended to employ our Stain Blocking Primer to prevent any potential tannin seepage that might cause discoloration in the top coat.
