Defend Wood Dye & Guard is a durable water-resistant solution that is safe for plants & animals and shields all varieties of outdoor timber from the elements and mildew. This item can be administered to clay and stone surfaces or any substance that is absorbent. Durable – lasting 2-5 years (depending on levels of usage & exposure) Offered in various hues Area covered: Approximately 8-12m² per layer We suggest 2 layers with a 3rd increasing the intensity of the hue. If your primary item isn’t pressure treated then you will need to utilize a Wood Preservative before coating, we propose Defend Wood Preservative ++. For significant exposure to the elements, it is advised to use Defend Clear Strong Varnish as an overcoat. For light shades, we suggest utilizing our Dye Preventative Primer to hinder the overcoat from staining due to potential tannin seepage.
