Tongue and groove throughout the shed ensures consistent quality, with both the floor and roof made from 12mm tongue and groove for enhanced durability. The shiplap cladding design includes a small profile at the top of each board, facilitating quick water runoff and aiding in the shed’s fast drying process post-rain exposure, thus safeguarding it from water damage.
For sheds with windows, toughened safety glass is provided by default, offering increased structural durability and thermal strength compared to regular glass. This makes the glass resilient and better able to withstand heat, being 500% more resistant to heat and shock. The internally beaded glass eliminates the need for DIY glass fitting, while PVC sills on the window units prevent water ingress and provide a polished finish.
Every Oren shed is equipped with galvanized ironmongery, including hinges, turn buttons, and door pulls, to extend the shed’s lifespan and minimize oxidation. This galvanization process involves applying a protective zinc layer to shield the ironmongery from rust and other damages.
