Tongue and groove construction: All Oren sheds are constructed using 12mm thick shiplap tongue and groove timber throughout, including the floor and roof, to provide added strength and longevity. The shiplap cladding boasts a small groove at the top of each board, which facilitates quicker water runoff compared to regular tongue and groove boards. This design feature aids in quick drying after exposure to rain, thereby safeguarding the shed from water-related damage.
Reinforced glass: Any Oren shed with windows is equipped with toughened safety glass as a standard feature. The toughening process enhances the glass’s structural integrity and insulating properties, thereby increasing its durability and ability to withstand heat. Toughened glass offers 500% more resistance to heat and shock than conventional glass. The glass comes pre-fitted internally, eliminating the need for you to install it yourself, while PVC sills on the window units prevent water ingress and provide an elegant touch to the overall design.
Durable hardware: All Oren sheds are furnished with galvanized hinges, turn buttons, and door pulls to extend the shed’s lifespan and reduce the risk of corrosion. Galvanizing involves applying a protective zinc layer to prevent rusting and other damage.
Premium waterproofing: To complete the shed, a high-quality waterproof felt with a specialized ‘polyester’ backing is included, ensuring long-lasting protection against tearing and wrinkling. The felt is impregnated with a bitumen (asphalt) coating that repels water while allowing the material to breathe.
