Crafted with expertise in Worcestershire, by the primary producer of timber garden structures in the UK, Timberdale represents Forest’s top-tier assortment of sheds. With top-notch qualities throughout and supported by an industry-leading 25-year warranty, this 12×8 windowless double door reversed apex shed (3.65m x 2.52m) stands as a preferred model for heavy-duty, safe, premium garden storage.

High-Quality Modular Build
This garden shed is made from 12mm tongue and groove panels, well-known for their durability, elegance, and weatherproof properties. A clever modular layout ensures the shed arrives in more manageable portions of interchangeable panels, simplifying the assembly process. Supported by exceedingly sturdy, double 33mm framing (66mm x 33mm), this Timberdale Shed isn’t just simpler to build and more adaptable than other timber sheds, it’s notably tougher as well.

Base and Ceiling
Both the base and ceiling are crafted from top-notch 12mm tongue and groove materials. The former effectively handles regular foot traffic and heavier stored items. It comes with pressure-treated bearers, offering additional support and forming an efficient barrier against ground dampness. The reversed apex ceiling showcases a superior 140g enhanced-polyester mineral felt covering for unparalleled weather protection (felt hue may differ). Two diamond-shaped finials elegantly complete the shed’s remarkably appealing look.

Safe Door and Windowless Concept
The braced double doors provide convenient access to the workshop. Outfitted with exterior turn buttons, internal bolts, and a rim lock to safeguard valuable tools. A windowless layout adds an extra layer of protection, while the lofty roofline provides ample headspace and enhances garden storage possibilities.

Ethically Sourced and Trouble-Free
The wood used in constructing this shed carries FSC® certification, sourced solely from sustainable, well-maintained forests. It’s pressure treated and arrives with a leading 25-year anti-rot warranty, eliminating the need for additional treatment, offering savings in both time and money in the long term.

Forest’s Timberdale line of modular tongue and groove sheds boasts various sizes and designs, all upholding the same exceptional construction quality. Assembly instructions are included for a straightforward setup.

Shed Foundation Options
Wood Shed Foundation Set
As an alternative to laying concrete or slabs, this shed foundation is a swift, more cost-efficient DIY solution. The wooden shed foundation comprises a framework crafted from UC4 incised timber, pressure treated for durability. The pressure treatment assures the framework’s strength, guaranteed to resist rot for an impressive 15 years. Base size: 7.5cm (h) x 241.6cm (w) x 354cm (d)

Plastic Shed Foundation Set
Effortless to set up, the 12×8 plastic shed foundation set is ideal for simplifying the process of preparing a base for a new shed. Its interlocking design makes assembly a breeze and though lightweight, it offers a robust and durable foundation for the shed. Crafted from 100% recycled plastic, this foundation is eco-friendly and can be reused if the shed is relocated. The foundation allows for ventilation and drainage beneath the shed, helping to keep the floor dry. To install, interlock the square grids and place on a level, solid area. Ensure to use 15kg of 10mm pea gravel per square (gravel not included). Each square measures 500 x 500 x 40mm. Contains 40 squares and heavy-duty, commercially-graded weed membrane. Please note that we do not assemble plastic shed foundations as part of our installation service. Prepare the base yourself prior to the installers’ visit.

FAQs

The size of the shed depends on what you plan to store or use it for. Measure the items you plan to store and consider any additional space for moving around or future storage needs. Common sizes range from small (6×8 feet) for basic storage to large (12×24 feet) for workshops or extensive storage.
Sheds are typically made from wood, metal, or plastic. Wood is aesthetically pleasing and customizable but requires more maintenance. Metal sheds are durable and secure but can be prone to rust. Plastic sheds are low-maintenance and easy to assemble but may not be as sturdy as wood or metal.

Permit requirements vary by location. Check with your local building department or zoning office. Typically, small sheds (under 120 square feet) may not require a permit, but larger ones or those with electrical installations often do.

A solid foundation is crucial for stability and longevity. Options include concrete slabs, gravel bases, or wooden platforms. Choose a foundation based on your shed’s size, material, and the ground conditions of your site.
Look for sheds with features like weather-resistant materials, proper sealing, and robust construction. Ensure the shed has a good roof overhang, proper drainage, and secure locking mechanisms to protect against theft and weather damage.
Assembly time depends on the size and complexity of the shed. Small, simple sheds can be assembled in a few hours, while larger or more complex sheds may take a full day or more. Professional installation is also an option for those who prefer not to DIY.
Maintenance depends on the material. Wooden sheds need periodic painting or staining and checking for rot or pests. Metal sheds may need rust prevention treatments. Plastic sheds require minimal maintenance, typically just cleaning as needed.
Moving a shed is possible but can be challenging, especially for larger structures. It’s easier to move a smaller shed if it has a solid base. Consider the logistics and potential costs of moving before installation. If moving is likely, a portable shed might be a better option.
Many sheds come with detailed assembly instructions, making them suitable for DIY installation, especially smaller models. However, larger or more complex sheds may require professional installation to ensure they are properly and safely assembled. Assess your skill level, available tools, and the complexity of the shed before deciding.
