Protective Wood Dye & Shield is a durable repellent treatment that is safe for plants & animals and safeguards all varieties of outdoor wood from the elements and mildew. This solution can be administered to terracotta and stone or any permeable substance. Durable – lasts 2-5 years (depending on levels of use & exposure) Offered in an assortment of hues Area covered: Around 8-12m² with one application We suggest applying 2 coatings with a third one for a richer color. If your primary product hasn’t been pressure treated, then you will need to first apply a Wood Protector before dyeing, we recommend Shield Wood Protector ++. For considerable exposure to weather conditions, it’s advisable to put on Shield Clear Resilient Finish as a final coating. For lighter shades, we recommend utilizing our Dye Blocking Undercoat to prevent discoloration of the final coat from potential tannin seepage.
