Walls, Base, and Roof
The walls are constructed from 7mm overlap cladding, ensuring efficient rainwater drainage and enabling the timber to naturally adjust over different seasons. Unlike many other overlap storage units, the panels are cut straight, giving them a much more elegant appearance.
Built from 14mm solid timber, the base is 40% thicker than standard shed bases and includes pressure-treated bearers for added protection against ground moisture.
The roof is crafted from 8mm solid sheet, strengthened by a metal truss bracket, and equipped with a premium mineral-felt cover for full weather protection. Its reverse apex design, smooth-planed barge boards, and appealing finials provide the finishing touches to an exceptionally stylish look.

The double entrances can be arranged in various ways and feature double-Z framing for extra durability to preserve their shape. Concealed security hinges and a hasp & staple plate keep valuable equipment secure (padlock not provided). The windowless layout enhances security by discouraging unwanted attention. Wooden Storage Unit Base Kit – Instead of laying concrete or slabs, this storage unit base offers a faster, more cost-effective DIY solution. The wooden storage unit base comprises a robust framework made from UC4 incised timber that is pressure treated. The pressure treatment ensures the framework’s durability and guarantees resistance to decay for an impressive 15 years. Dimensions of the base: 7.5cm (h) x 212.1cm (w) x 206.2cm (d).
Plastic Storage Unit Base Kit – Quick and easy to install, the 7×7 plastic storage unit base kit is ideal for avoiding the hassle of laying concrete or slabs when preparing a base for a new storage unit. It is interlocking and straightforward to assemble, providing a strong and long-lasting base for the storage unit, despite being lightweight. Manufactured from 100% recycled plastic, this storage unit base is environmentally friendly and can be reused if the storage unit is relocated. The base allows for ventilation and drainage underneath the storage unit to keep the floor dry. To set up the base, simply interlock the square grids and place them on a firm, level ground surface. We recommend using 15kg of 10mm pea gravel per square (gravel not included). Each square measures 500 x 500 x 40mm. This set includes 25 squares and a heavy-duty, commercially graded weed membrane. Please note that we do not assemble plastic storage unit bases as part of our installation service. A helpful installation video for this plastic storage unit base can be found here. You must prepare the base yourself, following the provided instructions, before the installers’ arrival. Directly laying the base on grass will not be suitable, and the installers will be unable to assemble your garden storage unit.
