The Oren 14′ x 6′ Apex Combi Potting Shed with 6ft Side Store has been meticulously crafted to offer additional storage area for your outdoor space while also enabling you to cultivate your potted flora throughout the year. This shed is adaptable, allowing you to position the entrances in any orientation, rendering them appropriate for all types of gardens. All Oren Sheds are constructed from 12mm thick shiplap tongue and groove timber, encompassing the base and roof, to enhance its sturdiness and endurance. The durable framing of this structure has been curved at each edge to bestow it with a remarkable appearance.

This shed is equipped with hardened safety glass as a standard provision, along with a Premium High Performance Felt featuring a distinct polyester backing, guaranteeing an extended lifespan and resistance to tearing or wrinkling. Optional customization for the shed includes an upgrade to double doors. Refer to the ‘customize & purchase’ segment for further information. Kindly take note that only one door would undergo the double door enhancement, while the other door would remain singular in form.

Tongue and groove encompass the entire shed structure, as all Oren sheds are constructed from 12mm thick shiplap tongue and groove timber. The flooring and roofing are also fashioned from 12mm tongue and groove to offer an additional layer of strength and durability. The shiplap cladding displays a subtle ridge on the top side of each panel, allowing water to drip away from the shed more rapidly compared to conventional tongue and groove. This feature aids in swift drying of the shed following exposure to rain, thereby safeguarding it from potential water-related harm.

Any Oren shed featuring windows is furnished with hardened safety glass as a standard inclusion. The toughening process not only heightens the structural robustness and thermal potency of the glass but also enhances its resilience and ability to endure heat. Toughened glass exhibits a heat and shock resistance level that is 500% better than that of regular glass. The glass is pre-fitted internally, eliminating the need for DIY glass installation, and PVC sills conclude the window structures to prevent water ingress and yield an exquisite appearance.

All Oren sheds come equipped with galvanized fittings, such as hinges, turn buttons, and door pulls, to extend the shed’s durability and diminish the onset of oxidation. Galvanization applies a protective zinc coating to these fittings, shielding them from rust and other forms of deterioration.

The shed boasts superior waterproofing with a top-tier waterproof felt supported by a unique ‘polyester’ backing, ensuring a prolonged lifespan and resistance to tearing or wrinkling. The felt is impregnated with a protective bitumen (asphalt) coating that repels water while concurrently allowing the material to respire.

Please be advised that the overall dimensions of the Potting Shed equate to 14×6, encompassing the side store within this span.

FAQs

The size of the shed depends on what you plan to store or use it for. Measure the items you plan to store and consider any additional space for moving around or future storage needs. Common sizes range from small (6×8 feet) for basic storage to large (12×24 feet) for workshops or extensive storage.
Sheds are typically made from wood, metal, or plastic. Wood is aesthetically pleasing and customizable but requires more maintenance. Metal sheds are durable and secure but can be prone to rust. Plastic sheds are low-maintenance and easy to assemble but may not be as sturdy as wood or metal.

Permit requirements vary by location. Check with your local building department or zoning office. Typically, small sheds (under 120 square feet) may not require a permit, but larger ones or those with electrical installations often do.

A solid foundation is crucial for stability and longevity. Options include concrete slabs, gravel bases, or wooden platforms. Choose a foundation based on your shed’s size, material, and the ground conditions of your site.
Look for sheds with features like weather-resistant materials, proper sealing, and robust construction. Ensure the shed has a good roof overhang, proper drainage, and secure locking mechanisms to protect against theft and weather damage.
Assembly time depends on the size and complexity of the shed. Small, simple sheds can be assembled in a few hours, while larger or more complex sheds may take a full day or more. Professional installation is also an option for those who prefer not to DIY.
Maintenance depends on the material. Wooden sheds need periodic painting or staining and checking for rot or pests. Metal sheds may need rust prevention treatments. Plastic sheds require minimal maintenance, typically just cleaning as needed.
Moving a shed is possible but can be challenging, especially for larger structures. It’s easier to move a smaller shed if it has a solid base. Consider the logistics and potential costs of moving before installation. If moving is likely, a portable shed might be a better option.
Many sheds come with detailed assembly instructions, making them suitable for DIY installation, especially smaller models. However, larger or more complex sheds may require professional installation to ensure they are properly and safely assembled. Assess your skill level, available tools, and the complexity of the shed before deciding.
