All Oren Summer Cottages are constructed from 12mm thick shiplap tongue and groove wood, including the foundation and ceiling, providing added robustness and endurance, ensuring longevity.
This Oren summer Cottage is equipped with strong framing that includes corner reinforcement on all wall panels.
Featuring toughened safety glass as standard, and a Premium High Performance Felt with a special polyester backing, this Summer Cottage is designed to last longer without easily wrinkling or tearing.
Tongue and groove construction runs throughout all Oren Summer Cottages using 12mm thick shiplap tongue and groove wood, even for the base and roof, ensuring increased strength and durability.
The shiplap cladding boasts a small profile at the top of each board, allowing rainwater to flow off the summer cottage faster than standard tongue and groove, aiding in quicker drying after rainfall, protecting it from potential water damage.
Any Oren Summer Cottage featuring windows is fitted with toughened safety glass by default. The toughening process enhances the glass’s structural strength and thermal resistance, making it more durable and heat-resistant compared to regular glass.
The glass comes pre-fitted internally, eliminating the need for self-installation, while PVC sills on the window units prevent water seepage and provide a polished appearance. Window Dimensions: Height = 162cm – Width = 45.7cm.
Galvanised ironmongery, including hinges, turn buttons, and door pulls, ensures better longevity for all Oren Summer Cottages, reducing corrosion. The galvanising process involves coating with a protective zinc layer to prevent rust and other forms of damage.
The Summer Cottage is finished with premium high-performance felt that is waterproof and features a special ‘polyester’ backing for increased durability, preventing easy wrinkling or tearing. The felt is impregnated with bitumen (asphalt), which repels water while allowing the material to breathe.
