The Oren 14′ x 16′ Marquess Log Cabin represents a premium, adaptable, and roomy contemporary garden structure perfect for an outdoor workout space, additional sleeping quarters, or workspace. This cabin showcases the latest modern elements, including anthracite PVC dual doors and pivot and tilt windows, enabling ample natural light to brighten the space. Both windows and doors are equipped with sturdy double glazed glass for enhanced insulation and safety.

uPVC Entrances and Windows – Our Oren Log Cabin arrives equipped with uPVC Dual Doors in Anthracite Grey and uPVC ‘Tilt and Turn’ Operable Windows. All glass is both toughened and double glazed. Enhanced Security – Besides the robust double glazing, each door and window is secured with a 5-point locking system. Whether you intend to utilize the log cabin for storage or as a home office, this extra secure environment will offer added peace of mind.

Roofing Protection – With a 50-year lifespan, the roof of this log cabin is built to shield the structure from varying weather conditions. It is outfitted with an innovative EPDM rubber roofing system that boasts a longevity of 50 years. This system incorporates a drip plate along the gutter edge to direct rainwater away from the cabin’s sides. Under 2.5m – All cabins stand below 2.5m at the ridge, enabling you to navigate around most planning permission restrictions commonly associated with residential constructions. The inclusion of substantial 145mm roof purlins guarantees that strength and stability are not compromised by the reduced height.

Superior Timber – The walls of the log cabin are crafted from 44mm thick high-quality, ethically sourced, Scandinavian Timber. Absolutely zero inferior log cabin timber profiles such as 19mm and 28mm thicknesses or structures with OSB or chipboard floors and roofs are utilized. The floors and roofs consist of tongue & groove boards to ensure the log cabin’s sturdiness and endurance. Timber bearers are provided to elevate the log cabin above ground level for additional floor protection.

Modern Finishes – All windows feature external sills, and the ‘easy access’ aluminum low threshold sills on the doors add to the functionality of your structure, in addition to enhancing its appearance. The attention to detail extends to the Burford style skirting that provides a polished interior finish to the log cabin.

Innovative Self-Assembly – Our 44mm, top-tier interlocking logs are reinforced by our cutting-edge notching system, facilitating a confident assembly process where everything fits seamlessly in place. Assembly instructions and fixtures are provided for a DIY construction approach, with additional telephone/email support and instructional installation videos available if needed.

Eco-Friendly – We support sustainability! Timber is responsibly sourced from carefully selected suppliers and forests, ensuring a meticulous and comprehensive examination process. Only suppliers with Certified Sustainable status are employed, and chain of custody certification traces the wood from forest to distribution to us, with regular inspections conducted.

Special Promotion – Receive a complimentary 5L container of Protek Wood Preserver to jumpstart the preservation of your log cabin. This water-based, ready-to-use, exterior wood preservative and primer will require additional application for full cabin coverage. Extra containers can be acquired from the customization section.

FAQs

The size of the shed depends on what you plan to store or use it for. Measure the items you plan to store and consider any additional space for moving around or future storage needs. Common sizes range from small (6×8 feet) for basic storage to large (12×24 feet) for workshops or extensive storage.
Sheds are typically made from wood, metal, or plastic. Wood is aesthetically pleasing and customizable but requires more maintenance. Metal sheds are durable and secure but can be prone to rust. Plastic sheds are low-maintenance and easy to assemble but may not be as sturdy as wood or metal.

Permit requirements vary by location. Check with your local building department or zoning office. Typically, small sheds (under 120 square feet) may not require a permit, but larger ones or those with electrical installations often do.

A solid foundation is crucial for stability and longevity. Options include concrete slabs, gravel bases, or wooden platforms. Choose a foundation based on your shed’s size, material, and the ground conditions of your site.
Look for sheds with features like weather-resistant materials, proper sealing, and robust construction. Ensure the shed has a good roof overhang, proper drainage, and secure locking mechanisms to protect against theft and weather damage.
Assembly time depends on the size and complexity of the shed. Small, simple sheds can be assembled in a few hours, while larger or more complex sheds may take a full day or more. Professional installation is also an option for those who prefer not to DIY.
Maintenance depends on the material. Wooden sheds need periodic painting or staining and checking for rot or pests. Metal sheds may need rust prevention treatments. Plastic sheds require minimal maintenance, typically just cleaning as needed.
Moving a shed is possible but can be challenging, especially for larger structures. It’s easier to move a smaller shed if it has a solid base. Consider the logistics and potential costs of moving before installation. If moving is likely, a portable shed might be a better option.
Many sheds come with detailed assembly instructions, making them suitable for DIY installation, especially smaller models. However, larger or more complex sheds may require professional installation to ensure they are properly and safely assembled. Assess your skill level, available tools, and the complexity of the shed before deciding.
