The marvelous Oren 20′ x 10′ Countess Log Cabin epitomizes a high-quality, versatile, and spacious contemporary garden building ideal for an outdoor exercise space, extra sleeping quarters, or office area. This cabin is embellished with cutting-edge modern amenities, featuring charcoal PVC double doors and pivot and tilt openings, welcoming abundant natural light into the area. Both windows and doors come with sturdy double-glazed glass for improved insulation and security.

uPVC Entries and Panes – The Oren Log Cabin comes equipped with uPVC Double Doors in Anthracite Grey and uPVC ‘Tilt and Turn’ Windows. All glass is toughened and double-glazed.

Enhanced Security – Alongside the double glazing, there is a five-point locking mechanism on all doors and windows. Whether using the log cabin for storing items or as a workspace, this highly secure setting will provide that additional peace of mind.

Roofing Protection – With a 50-year lifespan, the cabin’s roof is designed to shield the structure from diverse weather conditions. It features an innovative EPDM rubber roof system with a 50-year durability. This includes a gutter edge drip plate for efficient rainwater drainage away from the cabin’s sides.

Elevation below 2.5m – All cabins are below 2.5m tall to the ridge, enabling you to comply with most planning restrictions pertaining to residential buildings. With extra deep 145mm roof beams ensuring strength and rigidity despite the reduced height.

Premium Quality Timber – The cabin’s walls are crafted from 44mm thick top-quality, sustainably sourced, Scandinavian Timber. Inferior timber profiles like 19mm and 28mm thickness, or cabins with OSB or chipboard floors and roofs, are not used at all. The floors and roofs comprise tongue & groove panels for durability and longevity. Timber bearers are included to raise the cabin off the ground, providing extra protection to the floor.

Modern Additions – Stylish details such as external sills on all windows, and the ‘easy access’ aluminum low threshold sills on the doors enhance both the functionality and aesthetics of the structure. The meticulous Burford style skirting adds a perfect finish to the cabin’s interior.

Innovative Self-Assembly – Our 44mm premium interlocking logs are combined with a clever notching system, allowing you to build your cabin confidently, knowing everything fits precisely and securely. Fasteners and instructions are provided for self-assembly, with additional telephone/email support and helpful installation videos available if needed.

Eco-Friendly – We are dedicated to sustainability! Timber is responsibly sourced from selected suppliers and forests with certified sustainable practices and strict chain of custody certification, ensuring the wood’s traceability from forest to us, guaranteeing ongoing oversight of the supply chain.

Special Offer – Receive a COMPLIMENTARY 5L can of Protek Wood Preserver to start your preservation work for the log cabin. A water-based, ready-to-use, exterior wood preservative and undercoat. More preserver may be required to cover the entire cabin, available for purchase in the customization section.

FAQs

The size of the shed depends on what you plan to store or use it for. Measure the items you plan to store and consider any additional space for moving around or future storage needs. Common sizes range from small (6×8 feet) for basic storage to large (12×24 feet) for workshops or extensive storage.
Sheds are typically made from wood, metal, or plastic. Wood is aesthetically pleasing and customizable but requires more maintenance. Metal sheds are durable and secure but can be prone to rust. Plastic sheds are low-maintenance and easy to assemble but may not be as sturdy as wood or metal.

Permit requirements vary by location. Check with your local building department or zoning office. Typically, small sheds (under 120 square feet) may not require a permit, but larger ones or those with electrical installations often do.

A solid foundation is crucial for stability and longevity. Options include concrete slabs, gravel bases, or wooden platforms. Choose a foundation based on your shed’s size, material, and the ground conditions of your site.
Look for sheds with features like weather-resistant materials, proper sealing, and robust construction. Ensure the shed has a good roof overhang, proper drainage, and secure locking mechanisms to protect against theft and weather damage.
Assembly time depends on the size and complexity of the shed. Small, simple sheds can be assembled in a few hours, while larger or more complex sheds may take a full day or more. Professional installation is also an option for those who prefer not to DIY.
Maintenance depends on the material. Wooden sheds need periodic painting or staining and checking for rot or pests. Metal sheds may need rust prevention treatments. Plastic sheds require minimal maintenance, typically just cleaning as needed.
Moving a shed is possible but can be challenging, especially for larger structures. It’s easier to move a smaller shed if it has a solid base. Consider the logistics and potential costs of moving before installation. If moving is likely, a portable shed might be a better option.
Many sheds come with detailed assembly instructions, making them suitable for DIY installation, especially smaller models. However, larger or more complex sheds may require professional installation to ensure they are properly and safely assembled. Assess your skill level, available tools, and the complexity of the shed before deciding.
