Forest presents the top-quality range of Pressure Treated Sheds, which are the finest assortment of overlap sheds crafted by Forest. These sheds come in various styles and sizes and are expertly constructed in the United Kingdom. The product being highlighted here is the 7×7 Double Door Reverse Apex Shed without Windows (2.28m x 2.12m). This shed offers secure storage for your garden and is suitable for gardens of various sizes.

Wood Treated under Pressure with a 4Life™ Warranty
This wooden shed is pressure treated to prevent decay and is supported by an exceptional 25-year anti-rot warranty, which is the lengthiest warranty available. This timber will never require re-treatment, saving you time and money. With a 4Life™ Shed, you will only need one shed!

Innovative Modular Design
Featuring an improved fully modular design, this garden shed is delivered in smaller sections of interchangeable panels, making assembly much simpler compared to most wooden sheds. This design also offers a leading selection of door positions, allowing customization to match specific needs. With 30% more framing than standard wooden sheds, this 7×7 shed is not only easy to assemble and versatile but also incredibly robust.

Walls, Flooring, and Roofing
The walls are constructed from 7mm overlap cladding, ensuring efficient rainwater runoff and allowing the timber to adjust naturally with the changing seasons. Unlike other overlap sheds, these boards have straight cuts, providing a more elegant finish.

The floor, made of 14mm solid wood, is 40% thicker than typical shed floors and includes pressure-treated bearers for added protection against ground moisture. The roof is created from 8mm solid sheet, reinforced with a metal truss bracket, and fitted with premium mineral-felt covering for complete protection from the elements. The reverse apex design, smooth-planed barge boards, and attractive finials add the final touches to an exceptionally stylish appearance.

Enhanced Security Shed
The double doors can be positioned in various ways and come with double-Z framing for added strength to prevent warping. Hidden security hinges and a hasp & staple plate ensure the safety of valuable tools (padlock not included). The windowless design adds extra security by discouraging unwanted attention. The high roofline provides ample headroom and expands storage options in the garden.

White Glove Delivery Service
Forest’s White Glove Service will deliver this shed at no cost to most UK addresses, directly to the customer’s garden, with all packaging removed. Clear instructions and a complete set of fixings are provided for easy assembly.

Shed Base Options
– Wooden Shed Base Kit: An alternative to laying slabs or concrete, this shed base offers a faster, more cost-effective DIY solution. Made from UC4 incised timber that is pressure treated, ensuring robustness and resistance to rot for 15 years. Dimensions: 7.5cm (h) x 212.1cm (w) x 206.2cm (d)

– Plastic Shed Base Kit: A quick and easy-to-install solution, this 7×7 plastic shed base kit is perfect for avoiding the hassle of laying slabs or concrete for a new shed base. Its interlocking design makes assembly simple, and despite being lightweight, it provides a durable and strong base for the shed. Crafted from 100% recycled plastic, this shed base is environmentally friendly and can be reused when repositioning the shed. The base allows for ventilation and drainage under the shed, keeping the shed floor dry. To install, interlock the square grids and lay them on a firm, level ground. We recommend using 15kg of 10mm pea gravel per square (gravel not included). Each square measures 500 x 500 x 40mm. This pack contains 25 squares and commercially graded weed membrane. Note that we do not assemble plastic shed bases as part of our installation service. You must prepare the base according to the instructions provided before the installers’ visit. Placing the base directly on grass is not suitable. A video guide on installing this plastic shed base is available for reference.

FAQs

The size of the shed depends on what you plan to store or use it for. Measure the items you plan to store and consider any additional space for moving around or future storage needs. Common sizes range from small (6×8 feet) for basic storage to large (12×24 feet) for workshops or extensive storage.
Sheds are typically made from wood, metal, or plastic. Wood is aesthetically pleasing and customizable but requires more maintenance. Metal sheds are durable and secure but can be prone to rust. Plastic sheds are low-maintenance and easy to assemble but may not be as sturdy as wood or metal.

Permit requirements vary by location. Check with your local building department or zoning office. Typically, small sheds (under 120 square feet) may not require a permit, but larger ones or those with electrical installations often do.

A solid foundation is crucial for stability and longevity. Options include concrete slabs, gravel bases, or wooden platforms. Choose a foundation based on your shed’s size, material, and the ground conditions of your site.
Look for sheds with features like weather-resistant materials, proper sealing, and robust construction. Ensure the shed has a good roof overhang, proper drainage, and secure locking mechanisms to protect against theft and weather damage.
Assembly time depends on the size and complexity of the shed. Small, simple sheds can be assembled in a few hours, while larger or more complex sheds may take a full day or more. Professional installation is also an option for those who prefer not to DIY.
Maintenance depends on the material. Wooden sheds need periodic painting or staining and checking for rot or pests. Metal sheds may need rust prevention treatments. Plastic sheds require minimal maintenance, typically just cleaning as needed.
Moving a shed is possible but can be challenging, especially for larger structures. It’s easier to move a smaller shed if it has a solid base. Consider the logistics and potential costs of moving before installation. If moving is likely, a portable shed might be a better option.
Many sheds come with detailed assembly instructions, making them suitable for DIY installation, especially smaller models. However, larger or more complex sheds may require professional installation to ensure they are properly and safely assembled. Assess your skill level, available tools, and the complexity of the shed before deciding.
