The floor, made from 14mm solid wood, is 40% thicker than standard shed flooring and comes with pressure-treated bearers for added protection against ground moisture. Shed Base Options
– Wooden Shed Base Kit: A quick, cost-effective alternative to laying slabs or concrete, this shed base comprises UC4 incised timber framework that is pressure treated. The robust framework is rot-resistant and guaranteed for 15 years. Base size: 7.5cm (h) x 300.6cm (w) x 590cm (d).
– Plastic Shed Base Kit: Simple to install, this plastic shed base kit is ideal for bypassing the labor of laying slabs or concrete for shed foundation. Interlocking squares provide a strong, durable, and eco-friendly base made from 100% recycled plastic. The base allows ventilation and drainage, preventing moisture build-up under the shed. Each square is 500 x 500 x 40mm. Pack contains 91 squares and heavy-duty weed membrane. Installation requires interlocking the squares and laying on a firm, level area with 10mm pea gravel for each square. Please note, the plastic shed bases are not assembled as part of the installation service. Prepare the base in advance of installers’ visit according to supplied instructions as installation on grass directly is unsuitable.
